You Are suffering Because of the Ideological Buble - Here is why.
We can't know everything at all times.
Are you one of those who can't accept anything that is beyond or outside your understanding? You are always saying that whatever you know is what is right, and no one must tell you the other way around, which is related to what you trust. There is a lot you are missing out on because of not opening up your mind to fathom new wisdom.
There is a likelihood that many people consume only content or listen only to conversations that are related to what they believe in. This is why you find employees of different nationalities sitting separately and discussing different trends accordingly to where they come from.
This is why you find some older people who can't sit with millennials at all due to the different perspective that they both have about life. A father of four can be thinking about where to get school fees, while a youth is thinking about where to get money to give to his girlfriend. This has created a boundary of reasoning in many societies because if a youth could subtly dwell with those who have become parents, he or she could learn to be responsible very early. Parents could have made the same mistakes while they were growing up, which they could have taught to this youth if he or she had associated with them.
A tale of change.
The cycle will continue that way forever until one of the family representatives starts to riot over the absurdity of suffering that has been there for a long time. A mother and father have been poor for a long time because of what they don't know that can make them to get money but one of the children decided to take a differnt route for him or her to become rich in doing what his or her parents didnt do.
What is very hard is that many people can recognize value in life and also consider others to be fools based on what they do, which makes them not want to associate with them. Those who are fools can become hungry to learn from those who have got wisdom of value, but the accessibility to them becomes very hard due to the lack of reciprocation value. A successful person can't just waste time on someone who can't pay back his or her time. This is why nowadays we have many people yearning for mentors, yet those willing to mentor others have set a price they set and whoever doesn't have it can't meet them.
This has brought numerous types of people with different life perspectives that they don't want to change because they don't know how or they live in an environment of comfortability that lacks anyone living a different life stye.
WHAT CAUSES NUMEROUS IDEOLOGICAL BUBBLES?
1. Selective exposure and ignoring of useful wisdom.
You are talking to the same people every over about either your or their life complaints without any critical thinking to what would be done to solve them.
This has made many people become complacent in their standards of living. They even transfer it to their children to believe in someways that some things must be that way forever. If you grew up in a poor family,it is very hard to think that there's a way through to make it because of what you have experienced in your family as you were growing.
When it comes to wisdom, some groups of people feed their different generations to act or behave in the same way without logical thinking about the value of what they believe in. These are cultural norms that command everyone to follow some paths without questioning. Many of these beliefs are good, but some have become obsolete in this digital era we are in. You can find someone kneeling to his elders in public, and you feel ashamed for them if you adore them, yet in some cultures, it is an element of giving respect and seeking blessings accordingly on a personal level.
In day-to-day life, some millennials have designed their lifestyles that are protected by ego, not to allow anyone to tell them what they should do and what not to do. They even affect or recruit many others in their circle, as many as they can. Youths nowadays have normalized taking excessive shisha, alcohol, and other short-term enjoyments without thinking about the long-term consequences because of their circle that does the same.
2. Social media algorithm manipulation.
You might not believe that whatever we see on our phones is not the same at all times, yet we are all on the same platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook. This has led some people to get manipulated by the same type of content they consume continuously. Your mind is affected directly or indirectly with whatever you expose it to. You will start to believe in what you see so often on social media whether it is bad or good.
Do you know that many women have fathomed the belief of feminism from social media after having seen their fellow women evangelizing it so often? They don't take the time to know the logic to use in implementing it in their life. This has affected many of them after being abandoned by men who are intolerant of disrespect and useless dominance exploited by these women.
Many people have learnt bad behaviors from the algorithms that they might lose control over them after having consumed much content of the same type from them.
If you happen to watch pornography, obscenity, and nudity for long on some social media platforms that allow it, you will end up only thinking about abnormal sex at all times.
Everything that is bad must have some good effects on those who can think logically and not accept its dominance over them.
What if you can control the algorithms so that it can throw you into the Bubble of fathoming ideas and strategies that can change your life? This is good for you who is yearning for personal growth and transformations though it is rare in many people.
3. Confirmation bias.
This is when you ignore anything that is against what you have been believing in for a long time. It is like accepting something permanently, no matter how consequential that is visible it may be to you.
Do you know that some people cluster some nationalities with some types of employments. This has made many people from these nationalities to only seek opportunities from what they are known for without challenging these beliefs even if they see how cumbersome they are.
Many elderly people have failed to fathom useful wisdom from millennials due to the locked thinking that they are exposed enough not to be taught by those younger than them. This has forced many of them to grow with stagnancy in what they know, which can even lead to absurdity if unchecked, to be changed as we are advancing in everything.
Let's use the mentality of working hard in many elderly people, they sell it to everyone whom they talk to without describing how important the selection we must have to many things that are nolonger fruitful or result ful these days. They only believe in putting in the hard work from Monday to Friday yet now days we must be selective on where we are putting our energy with relation to the results.
4. Political affiliations.
Many people have accepted being manipulated by their political leaders or parties without looking up to the weaknesses and risks over their life in case they continue accepting those norms of what they believe in.
They say that "whatever our leader commands us to follow or do, we must do". You should know that before you accept anything in this life, take time to have a logical look at it. How can it affect you or those whom you adore? You are getting fully involved in politicking, but this can lead to the permanent suffering or starvation of your family in case you are apprehended based on your political affiliation.
Effects of Ideological Bubbles.
Polarization – People become more extreme in their views and resistant to alternative perspectives. Have you ever found someone refuting a visible reality that could have been helpful to him or her if he had considered it?
We are urged not to eat some foods after having been confirmed by scientists them be unhealthy, but since we enjoy their tastes, we end up ignoring what we are urged. This has affected many people to the extent that these foods can cause death.
Intellectual Stagnation – Limited exposure to diverse thoughts prevents critical thinking and growth. We should seek wisdom every day so that we can have different strategies to use in different situations. Those who ignore anyone trying to teach them what they don't know will live with the same understanding of life.
You can't use the same strategies forever; you will get bored, and even those strategies can become outdated or obsolete.
Misinformation Spread – Without exposure to fact-checking or opposing viewpoints, false narratives can thrive. Many people believe in falsehoods that they haven't taken the time to question. People can create numerous strategies that are full of manipulation and deception that you should recognize to reject or refute, but otherwise, you might live on lies forever. They used to tell us that when we remove our teeth, we should put them under the bed so rats can find them and it gives us money. It took me years to know that it was a lie.
Division & Conflict – Groups with opposing beliefs find it harder to communicate or understand each other. They both have their own perspective that they will always try to make dominant. This will create endless fights over those who will be trying to reject the dominance of the other. This has affected many leaders in organizations and companies. Every manager has their own way of seeing everything, yet there must be a unification in how everything must be run.
How to Break Out of an Ideological Bubble.
Engage with Diverse Perspectives – Read, watch, or listen to sources with different viewpoints. You should do it with logic and open-mindedness so that you can know what is right from what is not.
Ask Critical Questions – Challenge your own beliefs and consider alternative arguments.
When it comes to asking to know, don't ask to challenge but do it respectfully to fathom more from others about what you have been knowing the wrong way or not knowing at all.
If you tell someone that, "You are suffering because of the ideological bubble," it means you're suggesting that their struggles—whether intellectual, social, or emotional—stem from being trapped in a limited perspective.
This could imply:
1. They are not seeing reality clearly – Their worldview is shaped by one-sided information, causing them to misunderstand situations.
2. They are resistant to growth – Being stuck in a bubble may prevent them from learning new things or adapting to change.
3. They experience conflict with others – They may struggle to connect with people who think differently, leading to frustration, misunderstandings, or isolation.
4. They are making poor decisions – If their knowledge is full of bias or it's incomplete, they might make choices that don’t serve them well.
We should always have an open mind so that we can learn again and again.
